You can pick the specialist yourself. Hiring costs nothing and puts the expert on your roster; Consult opens Orient with the expert already chosen.
Find the expert
Open Marketplace › Agents. Search "Search 1,509 agents — or describe the work and the Chief of Staff routes", or click Route me to let the Chief of Staff pick. Or browse: filter by LEVEL, FUNCTION (30) and DEPARTMENT (115); switch Single · Department · Function to hire one expert, a whole bench, or stand up a function.
Hire
Each card shows the initials tile, the name, a one-line remit, L3/L4 and the department, and provenance on record · n tools. Click Hire. The card flips to HIRED with Consult and Unhire; the toast confirms
Consult from the card
Consult opens Orient on your current page with the expert pre-selected — the routing step is skipped because you made the choice. The answer card looks exactly like a routed consult.
Voices are convened, not hired
The Agents family separates Experts (accountable for a deliverable — you hire them) from Voices — patients, KOLs & HCPs, payers — accountable for representativeness, convened for panels, never hired. Voices are marked IN BUILD on the shelf until they ship. Agents.
