Edit with Ask AI

Edit verbs rewrite existing prose. Prefer a selection (sparkle or ⠿) when you only want that passage changed. Use slash AI → Edit when you want the same verb across the page.

How to run an Edit

Open a Document. Select the passage, or place the cursor in the block you want to change.
Open Ask AI from ⠿, the selection sparkle, Floating AI, or / → AI → Edit.
Choose the verb. Wait for the proposal on the canvas.
Accept to keep the rewrite, or Reject to restore the prior text.

Edit services

Service	What it is	How to use it
Improve	Raises clarity and polish without changing the claim.	Select → Improve. Accept / Reject.
Simplify	Plain-language rewrite for a broader reader.	Select → Simplify.
Shorten	Condenses length while keeping the point.	Select → Shorten.
Lengthen	Adds supporting detail and connective tissue.	Select → Lengthen.
Continue	Writes the next sentences from the cursor or selection end.	Place cursor (or select a lead-in) → Continue.
Fix grammar	Spelling and grammar only.	Select → Fix grammar. Also pinned on the formatter toolbox.
Translate	Translates the operand into another language.	Select → Translate. On slash Review overflow, Translate (pharma) is the pharma-aware twin.
Develop	Expands a thin idea into fuller prose on the same topic.	Select → Develop.

Credits are not charged on these menu leaves. Any credit chrome you see later is on the streamed block after a run, not on the catalog row.
